Take Action
Racial profiling isn't something that should be taken lightly. There have been numerous cases of minorities, mainly African Americans, Middle Easterners or Muslims, and Hispanics being targeted because they are seen as criminals and supposedly draw suspicion. The act of racial profiling violates one's rights, is unjustifiable, and leads members of different ethnic groups to lose trust in law enforcement.
Steps that can be taken to end racial profiling are:
- Bring it to the attention of the public.
- Let public figures such as politicians, commissioners, and officers address it as an issue and have them take steps to create laws and policies that aim to stop racial profiling.
- Place consequences against law enforcement who commit racial profiling.
